Fantastic Lights and music. Back in the 1950’s living next door to Ron Mattson, on McKee Street,I never would have guessed I would be visiting his son’s light show 50+ years later. Linda sent me the site info to look up, what a good aunt you have!
Thank you for the wonderful Christmas spirit.

I saw a movie called “Deck the Halls” with Danny DeVito as the King of Christmas. He was having a war with his neighbour about who could put the most lights up. What’s your neighbour doing?
Pretty impressive display and nice job on the website.
Felic Navidad !

You are awesome, thanks for the great entertainment
Caught the clip on Global BC tonight. I think they should hire you to run the light show on parliament hill here in Ottawa. Cannot wait to see this year’s video. Do you have plans to have a live feed someday?
Congrats and Merry Christmas to you and your family.

What a huge commitment and such a great dedication to family. Beautiful.
Most excellent. I wish I could see it live. A friend sent me this from Vancouver and I thought you’d like to know you have now gone on tour in Mexico. All the best of the holidays and keep the spirit alive.
We just came home after visiting your beautiful house and it was the highlight of our Christmas season so far! What an amazing job you have done. My five year old daughter LOVED it and said to me “I know why this man does this. He wants to make people like us feel happy”. This will definitely be a new Christmas tradition for our family. Thank you!

We were there today (Dec 16th) with our 1-year old son and we really loved it. Thank you for putting the time and effort to doing this for such a good cause. It’s heart warming.
My husband heard about your house at his work in Surrey so it seems like people are talking about your work all over metro Vancouver.
I will put your website on my facebook profile so other people can see the videos and hopefully go by and see it for real because the videos don’t do justice.
I love the music and what a display. The best display I have ever seen and I commend you on your hard work. Some displays have more lights but this beats them all hands down. Well done and keep up the good work. Merry Xmas and Happy New year.

My mom, my sisters and I drove by your house to see your display.
It was very nice looking at all the light’s flashing everywhere to the music.
I hope you do it again next year.
Beautifully done! An amazing job and the music worked amazingly well.
It is a big job. You had many admirers standing in awe when we were there on the evening of December 20, 2009.

Thanks so much for the awesome display. We saw it listed in the newspaper and added it to our Christmas light tour. We stood there last night for about 20 minutes. Awesome. I’ll be sending an email to everyone to tell them to stop by. What a great tribute to your grandfather. Hope you do it every year. We’ll certainly come by to check!

We stopped by last night to view your display and we were amazed as to the thought that was put into this light display and the meaning behind it all(tribute to your Grandfather) is absolutely wonderful. I would like to say congrats on another fantatic showing,Look forward to seeing next years!! Merry Christmas to all!!
Absolutely fabulous. It’s these kind of things that keep the spirits alive. The addition of the donation box was a bonus. Kudos!
All the best to you & happy holidays.

Your light display and show is absolutely amazing!!! Your grandparents
and family must be very proud of you! You must enjoy doing this as you
put so much time and effort into it and thankfully let all of us get to appreciate your talents!
Comment by Linda Earle — December 30, 2009 @ 5:38 pm
Now what you need to do is put all videos of the lightshow on a DVD and sell them so that everyone can enjoy the festivity in their homes throughout the season! Food for thought for 2010.
My kids (age 5, 3 1/2, and 20 months) and I saw your display Monday night (Dec 28th) and they absolutely loved it! They spend 15 minutes dancing up a storm on your sidewalk and lawn – but your wonderful display has ruined them for others, they ask where everyone else’s music is! LOL. I hope the lights are still on this weekend, they want to come back with Dad.
And as someone who also lost a grandfather to cancer, I thank you for your efforts to collect donations. What a fitting tribute.
VISITORS FROM ENGLAND!!!
Myself, partner and son aged 15,daughter aged 10 were visiting family in Canada over Xmas when my partner read an article on this light display and so we decided to go and see them. We all stood watching this fantastic display for half an hourand since getting back to England have told everyone about it,Well Done and is it on You Tube?? So good it should be!! Thanks for a great display and our family in Canada are now making it one of their Xmas traditions to come see it should you continue to do it. Also great its for such a good cause.
Many Thanks, the England fans!!

Your neighbors @ 604 Cottonwood would like to thank you for sharing this brilliant light performance. It boosts our Christmas even though we cannot put up lights this year due to a vacation in Indonesia. Therefore, thank you also for getting it set up.

FANTASTIC KEEP IT UP MATE AMAZING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow! I caught the news article tonight on Global TV 6pm news. I just had to check out your website to watch the videos of past years. Absolutely Awesome! I do a large display every year myself, but nothing so sophisticated as yours. We are considering adding a better light/sound show for next year (we use ones of those wimpy GE Pro-Line The Lights And Sounds Of Christmas controllers right now) using gear from Light-O-Rama. You’ve definitely given me a few ideas! Keep up the good work!

This comment is intended for Paul’s mother. As the mother of four young children, I would like to commend you on your son. I saw his story on the news this evening and was truly impressed. Paul’s humanity is an example to my family…We will be visiting your display tomorrow evening so that my kids can learn from your son about giving and caring and being human.
Saw your story on the news and was instantly blown away, not only by your amazing talent, but your generosity and good heart. You will do great things in life, that I am sure. Not sure I will be able to see your lightshow live, but just watched all the videos. Amazing! Thanks for sharing.
After watching the news the other night we stopped by this evening on our way home from family and were so delighted to watch! What an amazing display!!! Wonderful you are asking for donations and we were happy to contribute!! All the very best for a wonderful Christmas!! You made it extra special for us this year!!
Fantastic show! My wife & I brought our 2 kids (6 and 3 yrs old) to your house tonight (from Burnaby) and loved your show! Great holiday spirit and also a great charity which we were more than happy to support.
